Why students struggle
with English Literature

Several big texts to study at once — the volume alone feels impossible before revision even begins.

They don't know which quotes are worth learning — and which ones are flexible enough to use across multiple questions.

The overwhelm sets in early — students delay revision, or start too late, because they don't know where to begin.

Understanding the plot is hard enough — memorising quotes on top of that, without access to the text in the exam, can feel impossible.

A smarter way to revise
English Literature

"The Quotation Bank gives students the essential quotes they need — already linked to the questions they'll face. No guesswork. No overwhelm. Just clarity."

Instead of staring at entire plays and novels trying to decide what to learn, students get a clear, structured starting point. Each text is broken down into the 20 most powerful, versatile quotations — the ones that can be used flexibly across a range of questions. They're mapped to exam-style questions so students can see exactly when to reach for each one.

The result? Students start revising earlier, feel more confident, and walk into their exams knowing they have the right quotes ready.

GCSE English Teacher & Tutor

Hi, I'm Suzie

I'm a GCSE English Language and Literature teacher with ten years of experience helping students achieve the best grades possible.

We all know how hard Shakespeare can be — and that's before students tackle the other set texts, on top of preparing for English Language as well. It's a lot. That's why I believe in cutting straight to the point: giving students clarity, structure, and confidence so they can tackle any question.

I run small group classes with a maximum of eight students, offer resources for independent study, and run Grade Booster sessions and Masterclasses throughout the year. My knowledge of the exam specification is exceptional, and students who work with me consistently achieve strong results.

I hope your child finds this Quotation Bank genuinely useful. If you'd like further support, check out The GCSE English Studio.
